Today is a very special post and one close to my heart. Not only is it Love In October's first Real Wedding feature but it is the very beautiful wedding of my gorgeous sister and brother-in-law!
The bride and groom were married last year in tropical Port Douglas during the Australian winter. Their wedding was such a fabulous day and a true reflection of their personalities. They wanted their day to be modern and relaxed with a fun party atmosphere surrounded by their close friends and family.
The stunning bride wore a white taffeta gown with tiny crystal details as well as a delicate birdcage veil across her face. With a colour palette of white, black and hot pink the bride accessorised with hot pink ruffled heels and a bouquet of pale pink tiger lilies. The groom was handsome in a classic black suit.
The gorgeous couple were photographed in some of the most wonderful locations including the beach, cane fields and creeks.

The reception was incredibly fun with fantastic speeches that brought the house down and a video presentation of the couple and moments special to them. The bride and groom had a caricature created of themselves that they used for their wedding favours and wedding cake figurines.
This was the most fabulous cake ever! It's so unique to the couple and so fitting for their fabulous personalities... the bride who is a park ranger is wrestling a crocodile and the groom who is a 4WD fanatic is in his truck. Plus the cake was so yummy!

your wedding day ideas and inspiration: the internet was my best friend, Cosmo Bride magazines, but most of all I wanted it to be unlike anyone else’s as I noticed majority of weddings seemed very similar in magazines and I’ve always strived to be different and I wanted that to reflect in our wedding.
