wedding love: a yellow tuscon wedding

How fabulous is this yellow Tuscon wedding? With its desert feel, brilliant bright colours, gorgeous balloon release and friendly relaxed atmosphere, this wedding is super cute! I just adore the table centrepieces of coloured glassware with beautiful blooms.

detail love: summertime outdoor cinema

I know we are in the middle of winter here in Australia but that doesn't mean we can't dream about the spring and summer months coming up! When they do arrive, what better way would there be to spend a weekend evening than with friends at an outdoor cinema.

To avoid the crowds at drive-ins and movie theatres, Bash, Please and Design Sponge created this fabulous summer outdoor cinema in a backyard.

For a cosy living room feel, furniture such as deck chairs and tables were placed around the screen. Overturned crates were set up for somewhere to place your drink as well as homely accessories like flowers and candles. An old wooden cart full of patterned throw pillows and quilts was also there so guests could choose their favourite and comfiest looking linen before finding a spot on the lawn.

A delicious selection of goodies were available for guests to nibble on during the movie such as popcorn, vintage sodas and homemade popsicles.

sunday love: old and new wedding traditions

There are so many wonderful old traditions that couples choose to follow on their wedding day including giving wedding favours and having 'something old, something new...'.
.
There are also a few new traditions popping up recently. Some of my favourites include anniversary time-capsules, photo-booths and dessert bars. But I have to say my favourite new tradition is when the couple meet up before the ceremony... 'the first look'. I just love their reactions at seeing each other for the first time on their special day.

Here are some old traditions that some wonderful wedding vendors (and I agree!) think would be fabulous reinvented...

Bouquet Toss...

Grey Likes WeddingsBouquet Toss. Why not give your bouquet to the couple who's been married the longest?
.
Wedding Cakes...

.
Saying Goodbye...
.
Sitting in a TreeThe old fashion wedding send off. We wish more brides/grooms would change into their "honeymoon ready" outfits as they head off into the evening.
.
Something Blue...
.
Or what about incorporating 'something blue' into your wedding gown or wedding shoes.

wedding love: a whimsical and pink wedding

When I found this beautiful wedding by Carter & Cook Event Co. I just knew I had to share it with you. Everything about it is so whimsical and pretty, with sweet feminine touches.

My absolute favourite feature of this wedding are the floral bouquets. They would have to be the most amazing floral arrangement I have ever seen! Just LOVE them!

The bride and Carter & Cook Event Co. created a lovely colour palette of dusty pink, cream, peach, gold and mint green. The outdoor tablescapes are just divine. The tables were styled with mismatched dinnerware and glassware, and beautiful floral centrepieces.

The escort card display wall was a unique way for guests to find their seats. The wall was decorated in mint green with peach calligraphy cards and vintage plates.

I just adore the cake table display. The sheer curtain background is so delicate with the 'love sweet love' paper garland.

For evening cocktails the ceremony area was turned into a lounge area for guests under twinkling fairy lights.
