our love in october: cooking class bridal shower - part 2

Welcome to Part 2 of Love In October’s ‘cooking class bridal shower’. I hope you enjoyed Part 1, our delicious dessert bar and cooking class.

Once the ‘cooking classes’ were complete, and the dessert bar was set, the bride and her guests could enjoy the selection of delicious desserts and their own baked treats at an enchanting tea party garden setting.

For the table settings I used a pretty floral tablecloth with pink and lavender features. At each place setting was a fabulous printable cutlery placemat (printouts from The Pretty Blog), white ceramic plates in a selection of sizes and floral fabric coasters. Each guest could find their seat with the personalised name tag in their tea cup filled with colourful macarons.

In the centre of the table were more delicious desserts to enjoy on small ceramic cake plates and in glass domes. The delicious desserts included iced doughnuts, vanilla cupcakes and confetti cookies with sweet little tags. To drink, there was yummy pink lemonade in vintage milk bottles with grey-white candy striped straws. There were also glass mason jars filled with fresh flower cuttings.

The beautiful floral bouquets and fresh flower cuttings were a mixture of white chrysanthemums, lavender daisies and green button chrysanthemums.

Hanging above the table setting was one of the vintage styled floral aprons (with sweet ruffles and a pocket) given to the bakers. Alongside the apron are cute hanging cookie cutters on ribbons and fill-in the blanks cards for the bride and her groom.

Guests were given ‘Marriage Tips’ fill-in the blanks cards where they could give sweet and funny marriage tips for the happy couple. They were also given ‘Recipe Ideas’ cards so that they could pass on one of their favourite recipes for the bride’s new recipe collection.

I hope you enjoyed Love In October’s bridal shower as much as I enjoyed styling it. It was so much fun to plan and create so many of the details. A big thank you to the very fabulous Jenny Cuerel. She captures all of the details perfectly and so beautifully and I am so glad she could be a part of this shoot.
