éclairs for breakfast: french patisserie bridal shower

Éclairs for breakfast is a sweet new feature for Love In October. Where did the feature name come from? It’s a lovely reminder of our recent trip to Paris where we were known to have éclairs, cake or macaroons for breakfast!

Great food is an important element of any occasion and can help to make it extra special. In this new feature I hope to share with you a range of sweets, dessert tables, DIY sweet bars, dinners or canapés to help inspire your next occasion.

For our first Éclairs for breakfast I wanted to share with you the most gorgeous styled shoot and such beautiful dessert inspiration. This French patisserie bridal shower styled by The Loveliest Day was inspired by Laduree, one of the sweetest patisseries in Paris.

Melissa created a dessert table and tea station set in a beautiful garden. She worked with Melody of My Sweet and Saucy to create some of the most delicious looking desserts.

Melody’s desserts included french macaroons, mini cupcakes, fruit tarts, cream puffs and chocolate éclairs. She also created beautiful layered cakes with features that included mini madeline cookies, french macaroons and beautiful fresh fruits.

For something unique Meldoy created sweet pink french macaroons for her mini cupcake toppings.

Melissa incorporated hanging pastel ribbons and vintage window panes to create the feel of the Parisian storefronts.

I just adore this cake, with mini madeline cookies on top.

The floral bouquets are really beautiful and compliment the gorgeous pastel colours of the ribbons, desserts and furniture.

Oliver Hue Paper Goods created cute little favour boxes for guests to take home some french macaroons or a mini cupcake.

The tea station is just adorable, with a gorgeous chalkboard menu, vintage tea cups, different varieties of tea with custom coloured labels and little sugar cubes with cute tags.

For more on Melissa’s inspiration head over to her feature on The Loveliest Day, and be sure to check out Melody’s sweet inspiration on My Sweet and Saucy. Also you can find free stationary downloads on the Ruffled feature.
