real wedding: a gorgeous vintage seaside wedding - part 2

Today we have Part 2 of the amazing vintage and timeless seaside wedding of Calla and Michael.

Calla and Michael enjoyed a lovely lunch with their wedding guests after their morning wedding. They decorated their table settings with vintage vases, teapots and teacups filled with yellow roses and yellow and white chrysanthemums. Each guest was given homemade orange and rhubarb marmalade, lemon curd, pineapple and passionfruit jam and mustard pickles (made by Calla, her grandmother, godparents and aunty) for favours. Calla's bridesmaids cut out black and white gingham circles for the tops of the jars and made the labels. Their venue was also decorated with handmade hurricane lamps tied with lace.

Calla and Michael were later whisked away for more stunning bridal portraits around Sandgate and Shorncliffe. Calla and Michael said 'We bought a house in the area two years ago and we just love it here...so many beautiful romantic locations... outside the white church on Flinders parade, the old Hornibrook bridge and finally we trashed my dress on the beach at sunset'.

Calla, Michael and their guests enjoyed red velvet cupcakes and a sweets table filled with lolly jars.

favourite wedding detail: The wedding pinata my bridesmaid Jayne made for us!

favourite wedding moment: Getting photos on the Shorncliffe Pier. Also lighting the lanterns my brother Chris brought back from Thailand and watching them fly away at the end of the night was a highlight.

your wedding day ideas: I wanted the wedding to be a homespun, intimate and local. I grew up in Brighton and have seen many weddings in the colonial rotunda in Moora park and I wanted that to be the location for our wedding. We didn't have a theme but we wanted the style to be vintage yet timeless.

your wedding day inspiration: Blogs, magazines, etc... Frankie magazine, Pinterest, old craft magazines and Our Love in October!

Thank you Calla and Michael for letting us share your gorgeous wedding and congratulations on an beautiful day.
